On 23rd evening one programming contest was organized as a part of nakshatra - 07 all india MCA meet. They invited me to evaluate the code submitted by participants.
That was a prelims round. Many students participated in the event. Almost 80 people came for the prelims. We expected only 30 and we prepared a programming preilims rather than written prelims. We were unable to change the paper on the spot. So we continued with this programming prelims.
The event was started at 10:00 pm. Duration was 2 hours. Very few people completed the programs with in time. I started evaluating code at 12:30. It took 1 hour to complete the evaluation. Finally, i picked 6 good programmers from the participants.
We went to our mini canteen at 1:45 am. We had some food.
Some people did extremely well and some people did very funny.
We were discussing some funny incidents in the event. One of the organizer told that, " one fellow called me and showed like this scanf("Enter the number %d",n);
And it is not printing Enter a number.
what an excellent programming yaar......... :-))
Then organizer told that, u wrote enter a number in scanf, not in printf
then the person replied, "that's OK, why is it not printing?"
Organizer was trying to explain, but that person was not convinced.
Finally, this guy wrote enter a number in printf and then removed it from scanf. Then the participant satisfied.
Waaah, kyaa programming hey bhai..... :-)
Another joke was, one person met me after the prelims and said that
"i am incrementing i using i++, but i value is not incremented. becoz of that i lost prelims". I told him to show the code.
the code is like this

{
// i++;
printf("%d",i);
Ohh my god, he is keeping it in comments and saying that it is not incremented. That was too funny and too nasty programming.
some other organizers told some jokes like this. After the drinks we came back to room.
When i came back, i saw the score, India was almost in loosing situation. I felt very bad about this. Finally India lost the match. The day ended with sad news :(
