Maintain shared account in an excel sheet
I created an excel sheet to maintain shared accounts in a room.
U may skip the background --------->
We are 4 ppl staying in same flat and the calculation of money spent every month was becoming very difficult.
We had to do many calculations.
1. Power bill, internet bill, news paper etc should be shared across all ppl.
2. Only 3 of us drink milk, so the milk amount should be shared by only 3 of us.
3. Two of us go out for break fast and two of us prepare at home. The amount spent will be different and should be shared properly.
Let us take A, B, C, D as roommates names.
We had to do totally 11 calculations
ABCD(shared by all), ABC, ACD, ABD, BCD, AB, AC, AD, BC, BD, CD
One day, after doing all calculations, my roommate told me that some numbers are wrong. As a result I had to do all the calculations again.
So, I thought of creating an excel sheet which eases my calculation work.

Explanation of the sheet:
I assumed a person (Finance), who maintains our accounts.
Open the excel sheet.
First column is Date, second column is Item.
3rd, 4th, 5th (Amt Spt, To Fin, YES/NO) column belongs to person #1.
Enter the amount spent by person #1 in 3rd column.
Select YES in the 5th column for the same row.
Select YES for the people who are all involved in spending the amount.
In the above figure, Person#1 pays internet bill which is 750. It is shared by all ppl. So,
every ones share is 150. All ppl except person #1 has to pay 150 to finance(which is showed in red). Person #1 gets 600 from finance (highlighted in green).
Person #1, #2, #3 went for lunch. Now, person #2 pays 300.
It has to be divided across 3 ppl. Person #4, #5 are not involved in this.
So, select YES for person #1, #2, #3. Do not select anything for person #4, #5 (or select NO).
Above figure shows, person #2 gets 200 form finance and Person #2 has to give 150 to finance for internet bill.
So, person #2 gets a total of -150+200 = +50 from finance. Which is indicated in the last row named Total.
After adding the days dinner expenses, the excel sheet looks like below.
After some more entries, the excel sheet looks like

Other Features:
1. Enter the item name, the date will be automatically taken as current date. You can modify the date.
2. Enter the amount spent by Person #x, YES will be selected for the person #x in the corresponding row.
Known Limitation:
It is not allowed to enter the details where Person A spends money for personal item of Person B. (where person A spends money, but YES/NO will have NO as person A does not share the item.)
But, there is a round about method:
Multiply the amount by 2 and enter the amount in Person A column and select YES for person A and person B. (in case 2 other ppl are involved, then multiply by 3 and select YES for 3 ppl)

God knows the shape of heart
This is a beauty spot on chembra peaks. There is a heart shaped pond. Initially I thought it is man made. But, when I went near to it, I realized that the god created it and he definitely knows the shape of heart.

One year in Philips
Today is a memorable day in my life. I successfully finished one year in Philips. Morning I felt like I joined couple of days back. Days are moving very fast.....
I wished all my colleagues who joined with me. Most of them did not remember that they joined an year back. Everyone felt happy. No celebrations. No cakes. Just enjoyed the day as usual in office.

My License test got over
I started learning car driving. Total 20 classes of 1/2 hour each. I took Learner License on 25th April. Any one can take a test after 1 month from the date of Lerner License. My classes got over on Friday and I wanted to take a test on Saturday itself.
Me and shankar (my roommate) went to yashwanthpur to give test. I called my driving school for a car. They came at 12'o clock. I gave the test successfully and I will get the license by next week.

Mysore Infosys
Its been a long time since I took a long drive. Me and Kiran (my roommate) planned to visit Mysore on Sunday on his Pulsar. Mysore is 150Km from bangalore. My friend is in Mysore Infosys, so we planned to visit that campus also. Many of my friends told me that the mysore Infy campus is one of the best in India.
We started at 6:30 AM. Our first stop was after 50 KM. The road to mysore is good and we were speeding upto 110KM. We reached mandya (place in karnataka) at 7:45AM. We had breakfast in Mandya.
The next stop was in Srirangapatnam. There is a Madrasah on the way to Ranganatha swamy temple. We went inside and Kiran started taking some photos. Kiran likes photography and he has a big collection maintained in flickr. I also took some photos with my new camera. Then we went to ranganathaswamy temple by 10AM. We were there till 11:30AM. Kiran took some more photos. Then we headed towards Infy campus.
We reached Infy campus by 12'o clock. My friend has come out to the gate and we took visitors pass. They were asked us to fill a form for cameras. My friend got surprised with the camera stuff. Krian has 2 cameras (canon 400D and Sony DSC H2) and 2 lens different zooming lens.
We went to food court-2 and had lunch. The campus was constructed in a very good way. They provided all the facilities and entertainment. There is a multiplex with 4 screens for the employees. The buildings were in different shapes. The hostels were constructed like english alphabets which will show as INFOSYS when we see from bird eye view. That was very good idea.
It was too hot in mysore that day. Luckily we get umbrellas in the campus. We got the permission till 3:30PM. My friend has showed us all the good places in the campus. They are constructing a huge building which has a training capacity of 10000. Already they have 5000 training capacity building. I was surprised with that. We came out of the campus at 4PM.
We visited mysore palace. The wether became cloudy. We thought of staying at the palace till 7PM. At 7PM they will switch on all the lights for the palace. It will be a wonderful experience to see. Kiran also wanted to take some photographs of the palace. But because of the wether we started at 6PM.
A coffee day with pizza hut is there after mandya (almost 60KM from Mysore). But, the pizza hut was not yet opened. They told they are going to open it shortly. That will be a nice location to stop the vehicle and have a break from journey.
We reached bangalore by 8:30PM. We went to near by punjabi mess to have dinner. One more memorable weekend....
